Crabbing, Port Discovery, and Baugers

We have been trying to keep busy this summer with fun family activities while we have Kevin at home. About a week or so ago we went with some friends to try our hand at crabbing. We found a public beach with a pier across from the Naval Academy in Annapolis and dipped our crab nets into the water for a few hours.

We didn't catch anything but we had fun playing on the rocks and enjoying the sunshine. Better luck next time.
Last week we rode the metro into the Inner Harbor area and took the kids to Port Discover Children's Museum. This was Audrey's first Metro ride.

Jared and Anna "riding" a horse at a cowboy exhibit

After the Museum we walked to the Inner harbor for some ice cream. Audrey was so funny watching us all eat with her mouth open like a little bird. We felt bad and let her have a taste. She loved it!

Today we loaded up and drive to a u-pick farm for some peaches.
Riding the tractor

This farm has a nice little petting zoo also so we stopped by and visited the goats, alpaca's, donkey, cows, llamas, and chickens.

"I promise to sleep through the night. Just don't feed me to the alpacas!"-Audrey

Not sure what next week will bring, but I'm sure it will be fun.

What a fun summer! I love seeing how your kids look like you & Kevin. The new house looks so cute & a yard must be a welcome relief again for everyone.

Your kids are really just too cute! I'm glad you got to try crabbing, and I hope next time you catch a bucket full! Enjoy what's left of the summer. When does Jared have to go back to school?

Yeah, part of me wants to wait until I have kids old enough to start asking for a dog...because then you can get cool parent points, even though I will probably want a dog more than they do!!

Looks like you guys had a fun filled busy summer!! I can't believe how big Audrey is getting. She looks like Anna, to me anyway. And Jared! Holy Poop, he's so tall. But that's to be expected, right? He is a Parks after all.

It looks like you guys have been having a crazy summer so far. I can not even imaging making a drive like that with my kids. Congrats to Kevin for making it through the first year of dental school. I would love to visit the east coast. It looks so nice there, and I would be in heaven enjoying all the historical sights.
