Baltimore Here We Come!

We have decided to accept the University of Maryland's offer for a spot in their Dental School.  I'm not sure the reality of being full time students again has quite hit us yet.  School starts in August so we will probably be moving to Baltimore sometime in July.  Can't wait!!!

WE GOT IN!!!!!!!

Kevin was accepted to University of Maryland Dental School today!  Words cannot describe how excited, relieved, and thankful we are.  We have until March 5th to commit to the school and in the meantime we are waiting to hear back from VCU.  We are so thankful to all our family and friends who have helped with either online courses, encouragement, and/or prayers on our behalf.  We have felt the Lord's hand in every step of the way and are truly grateful for this opportunity that has been given to us.  !!!!!!!!!!!!

Not Just A Princess

The last few days Anna has been playing dress up with some of Jared's old costumes.  She was dressed as Peter Pan today singing and running around the room, "I can fly, I can fly, I can fly... Jared I flew.  Did you see?"  She has also brought out the superman costume complete with cape and Jared's old Ninja Turtle costume.  Watch out all you bad guys!

Tag from KT

What were you doing 10 years ago?
February 1998: Having some serious senioritis. I couldn't wait to graduate and go away to school. I was going to play college soccer at Southern Virginia College (now University) For pictures of college you will have to look at my friend Katie's blog. It was so much fun being on my own and traveling all over the South for soccer games and making life long friends.

5 Things on my "To Do" list for tomorrow
1) Get my family ready for Church (stake conference)
2) Call extended family
3) Make dinner
I should probably mention 4) Read scriptures and 5) Say prayers

3 Bad habit's that I have
1) leaving the dishes in the sink (I really don't like to do the dishes)
2) embarissing my 6 year old son by combing his hair or tying his shoes in front of his friends (bad mom)
3) never giving my full opinion for fear of offending others (I'm a fence sitter)

Place's that I have lived
Bakersfield, Ca
Buena Vista, VA
Anchorage, AK

Thing's most people do not know about me
I really really don't like the winter
I am now 100% a small town girl. I can't imagine wanting to live anywhere else.
I love cartoons! One of the perks of being a mom is that I can watch cartoons without shame.
I was born under very unusual circumstances. The doctors actually brought text books into the delivery room to figure out what was going on. (story for another day)

Go Knights!

We haven't posted anything because there hasn't been anything to post. Kevin felt his interview at VCU went well and now we are just waiting to hear back from them. He has another interview this Tuesday in Maryland and we hope that all goes well. While we have been waiting we have been working on home projects and normal day to day stuff. Today we went to a SVU men's basketball game. The kids love playing in the gym and cheering on the team. Unfortunately the Knights lost, but we still had fun.

We came home and Anna dressed up like a princess and then dressed up the toy horse like a princess too. I had to take a picture.

Christmas Vacation Chapter 5

Disneyland Day 2
The first thing we did after waking up way too early on day two was get in line for the new Nemo ride and then we went to the Autopia ride. They give all the kids fake drivers licenses to drive the cars and Jared and Anna had a lot of fun.

Next we met some of the Disney Princess. The girls just loved this part. After they took some pictures with the Princesses they watched a show where the Princess teach all the kids a dance and how to be a good princess and then they all come out and dance with all the kids. This was by far Anna's favorite part.

Then we went to Disney's California Adventures. This park is great it has everything from Disney magic to fast rollercoasters. We got soaked on the rafting rides and the kids had a blast in the Bug's Life section of the park.

Kevin and Jared both discovered that they are rollercoaster enthusiast after they rode (twice) The Screaming California roller coaster. Jared got off the ride and exclaimed, "That was awesome! That ride rocks!"
We went back to Disneyland to shop and finish up a few more things. It was so much fun to be with family. We can't wait to do it again

Christmas Vacation Chapter 4

DISNEYLAND DAY ONE
The last thing we did as a family was spend two days at Disneyland. It was so much fun. Thad is a little bit of a Disney Park fanatic and got us all looking for the hidden Mickey's that are all through the park. (See if you can find the one on the mailbox that is just inside Sleeping Beauty's castle.) The fist day we spent in the original Disneyland theme park. We went on many rides and watched the Fantasmic show. If you are familiar with Disneyland then you know there is an Island that is called Tom Sawyer's Island. Well, they have changed it to a Pirates Island and with little children it is by far the most fun thing in the park. It is all based on the movie Pirates of the Caribbean and has all kinds of fun activities for kids. Disney's Toon Town was also a favorite with the kids because they got to meet Minnie and Mickey Mouse!

Christmas Vacation Chapter 3

OTHER ACTIVITIES
Our other activities during the vacation included decorating gingerbread houses (sadly Anna's decorations never made it on the house), going to a pizza arcade, making garden stepping stones, and visiting with family. Jared and Anna had so much fun playing with their cousins. This was there first real visit that included cousins and I think they've decided that cousins are the best. We also had some other out of town family visitors and took many many family photos. It was especially nice to see Great Uncle Thad whom Tiffany's brother is named for.

Christmas Vacation Chapter 2

HANGING OUT AT THE PARK
Grandma and Grandpa took the kids out to Hart Park to feed the ducks and play around. It was cold but the kids had fun playing together and getting out of the house. In case you are wondering the last picture is of Grandpa wrapped up to stay warm.
